Loneliness

I was listening to the radio today......

DJ:
"As a kid, I always had the feeling of wanting to drink coke. It wasn't until I grew up that I realized that this feeling is called loneliness."

I have always subconsciously known this feeling. And when it hits, there is the desire to just drink and cool yourself off. Perhaps alcohol is what I 'need' and what I crave for, but there has never been the chance.

A few years ago, when I finally realized how bad coke is for you, I stopped drinking it and rarely ever picked up a can. But in the past year, I've stopped caring......because drinking coke seems to be the only thing I can have that is somewhat 'comforting', and because it seems I need it now more than ever.

Perhaps we all feel lonely at times. But you never truly know the meaning, the feeling, and the pain of loneliness until you can't be with that special person.
