Is it better to stand at the top and risk falling?
Or stand at the bottom and have hope of reaching the top?

When you are at the top, even though the next step forward might be a descent, at least you are on top of the world, enjoying a scenery that awaits you for so long. The top is always cold and windy, but it is also a testimony to your hard work, dedication, and perseverence.
When you are at the bottom, every step forward is a move up, but you never get to see the world until you actually get to the top. Don't make hope your safety net, it will only make you fall.
Isn't the whole point of climbing is to try to get to the top?
