Room for the Rejected

Two people with the same dreams and goals made a promise.
On a particular date in four years, they would meet at a very special place.
However, when the time came, only the girl made it there.
The young man could only watch and admire from afar.
Then, he thought he would never make it.
Four years later, the young man finally reached the meeting place.
However, he could no longer share the special moment with the girl.
He never changed. But everything had become part of the past.
He was sad, but understood that it was good enough to be lifelong friends with the girl.
His only wish....is for the girl to be happy.
